Getting there – Named after the telegraph cable that was laid between Broome and Java in 1889, Cable Beach is just a 10-minute drive (or bus ride) from the centre of Broome.
Best time to visit Cable Beach?
Any time, but the dry season from May and October is probably the best time to holiday in Broome and Australia’s North West region, as you can expect sunny skies and an average temperature of 27°C. June to August is the coolest period of the year.
The wet season from November to April is hot and humid, with short tropical downpours usually in the afternoon and evenings, mainly from January to March. This is the best time to view spectacular sunsets and see wildlife, however the average daytime temperatures are around 35°C.
