La Gomera Beach Guide
The rugged coastline of La Gomera is edged with towering cliffs indented with black sand and pebble beaches. The best and most accessible include the following.
Playa de Santiago – Unwind on this black sand and pebble beach that sits beneath dramatic mountains and flanks the pretty whitewashed buildings of an old fishing village, now La Gomera’s main beach resort.
Watch fisherman at work, enjoy pleasant walks in the surrounding countryside and wander along the beachfront promenade, home to several bars and seafood restaurants.

Playa de Alojera – Breathe in the dramatic scenery at this awesome black-pebble beach that sits beneath a tiny whitewashed village surrounded by soaring cliffs at the mouth of a valley dotted with palm trees, orchards and small villages.
