Torremolinos Beach Guide

The Costa del Sol’s oldest and most boisterous resort offers more than 6km
of beaches. A long promenade links all the beaches, with a choice of restaurants and chiringuitos. The best beaches in Torremolinos include:

Playamar Beach – Conveniently located close to one of the town's commercial centres, Playamar is one of Torremolinos' most popular beaches, with fine golden sand and clean waters. Facilities on this 900m-long beach include sun beds, umbrellas, showers, a children’s playground, ramps for people with disabilities, lifeguards, regular police patrols and water sports such as sailing and windsurfing.

Playa El Bajondillo – This popular, 1km-long golden-sand beach is located in front of the town centre and offers a good choice of beachfront chiringuitos. Facilities include sun beds, umbrellas, beach volleyball, showers, ramps for people with disabilities, lifeguards, regular police patrols and water sports such as sailing and scuba diving.

Playa La Carihuela – Escape the more crowded Playa El Bajondillo for this 2km-long stretch of soft golden sand that links Torremolinos to nearby Benalmádena. Pick a spot to sunbathe, go swimming and watch old men play dominos and boules.

Playa Santa Ana – Although just 500m long, this popular off-white sand beach faces a wide blue bay and is fringed by restaurants, beach bars and high-rise hotels. Lined with parasols and sun beds for hire, the beach offers facilities such as showers, toilets, ramps for people with disabilities, volleyball nets, lifeguards and regular police patrols.

Playa Carvajal – Pick your own spot to sunbathe on this 1.6km-long off-white sand beach lined with colourful parasols. Facilities include parasols, sun beds, a children's park, toilets, showers, ramps for people with disabilities, lifeguards and regular police patrols. Water sports include windsurfing, sailing and fishing.

Playa Las Viborillas – This small, off-white sand beach is only 150m long and nestles between vegetation-covered cliffs and a turquoise sea. Facilities include sun beds, umbrellas and a restaurant that sits at one end of the beach.

Playa Torre Bermeja – Unwind on this 600m-long beach offering a range of facilities including a children's playground, a football pitch, volleyball nets, toilets and showers, ramps for people with disabilities, lifeguards and regular police patrols. Sun beds and umbrellas are available for hire. Water sports available here include windsurfing, sailing and fishing.

Playa Torrevijia – Relax on this small golden-sand beach located near the Torrequebrada Hotel. Surrounded by low rocky outcrops, this is a good spot for snorkelling. Facilities include sun beds and umbrellas, toilets, showers and water sports such as windsurfing, diving and fishing.
